Main Purpose of the Job
An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Business Systems Coordinator to join their busy Health and Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance team.
The main purpose of the job is to co-ordinate the various aspects of the Institutes and Partnership H&S management systems including overseeing accident, incident and near miss documentation; conduct when required, minor accident, incident and near miss investigations; support the head of HSEQ and the rest of the HSEQ team in delivering an outstanding service. The post holder will also be expected to support the upkeep of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management and Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) platform systems, planning of audits and inspection as well as providing general H&S training to staff.
The post holder will be supporting the development, the implementation and management of HSEQ programs and policies for the Institutes and Partnership teams. The post holder will also help coordinating a joined-up approach between Next Generation Infrastructure project and HSEQ teams.
Key Relationships
The position will report to the Head of HSEQ. The post holder will work closely with the other HSEQ members, EI, JIC, TSL and QIB lab managers, NGI and NBIP facilities team to contribute to the delivery of an outstanding H&S support on site.
Main Activities & Responsibilities

- Collate and analyse data and statistics, generating management information reports, identifying trends and potential issues for a range of measures, including:
•Health surveillance data
•Accident and incident data

Provide the Head of HSEQ with good quality H&S performance data that can be shared with senior management. - 25
- Support HSEQ team and Facilities with the upkeep of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) platform systems. Coordinate support from the HSEQ and Facilities team on H&S matters

- Oversee accident, incident and near miss documentation, report RIDDOR to the Health and Safety Executive on behalf of the head of HSEQ and conduct when required, minor accident, incident and near miss investigations, maintain health and safety records including fire safety training. Monitor the progress of actions raised by the HSEQ Team.

- Provide general administrative support; monitor email inboxes, answer general queries, and assign actions to team members and monitor timely completion; arrange quarterly EI, JIC and TSL Biological and H&S committee meetings and produce high quality minutes to senior management teams; Interact with Occupational Health contractor regarding various aspects of health surveillance to workers.

- Plan and assist with conducting internal audits and inspections; ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and procedures in the workplace.

- Assist with the coordination of first aid support and ensure it is consistent across site.

- Emergency Response: Coordinate and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Organise test scenarios to ensure emergency preparedness.

- Assist with developing health and safety policies, risk assessments, safety procedures and training programs. This includes arranging H&S training courses delivered and updating workers training records. The post holder will also be expected to deliver regular general H&S training or toolbox talk to workers.

Additional information:
Salary on appointment will be within the range £36,000 to £44,500 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time post offered on an indefinite basis.
